Dairy-Free Duraznos con Crema is a light, creamy Mexican dessert made with juicy fresh peaches and a rich blend of non-dairy yogurt, coconut condensed milk, and coconut cream. This peaches-and-cream treat is perfect for summer—fruity, silky, and just the right amount of sweet.

When peaches are in season I always want to eat as many as possible—yellow peaches, white peaches, nectarines—they all work wonderfully here. Their natural juiciness and sweetness make them ideal for a simple, refreshing dessert.
This recipe is inspired by a similar favorite, Dairy-Free Strawberries and Cream, but uses fresh sliced peaches tossed in a luscious dairy-free cream made with sweetened condensed coconut milk and coconut cream. It’s simple to prepare, naturally sweet, and has a bright, tangy finish from dairy-free yogurt. The dessert is light, wholesome, and very refreshing on warm days.

Ingredients & Substitutions
You only need a few ingredients to make Duraznos con Crema. Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best flavor. For the cream, I use homemade sweetened condensed coconut milk, but a store-bought version works fine. If you prefer a dairy version, see the notes in the recipe card for simple swaps.
See the recipe card below for exact quantities.

Step-by-Step Instructions

- Make the cream: In a large bowl whisk together the dairy-free yogurt, sweetened condensed coconut milk, coconut cream (or a dairy-free creamer), and vanilla if using, until smooth.
- Chill the cream: Cover and refrigerate the cream while you prepare the peaches so flavors can meld.

- Prepare the peaches: Halve each peach, remove the pit, then slice into thin wedges, slices, or cubes—about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Combine: Gently fold the peach slices into the chilled cream until the fruit is evenly coated.
- Chill again: Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to come together. The longer it rests, the more the peaches absorb the cream.
Hint: If peaches are underripe or not very sweet, sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of sugar or honey over them and let them sit 15 minutes to release their juices before mixing with the cream.

Nutpods Creamer
If you prefer a ready-made alternative to coconut cream, a neutral dairy-free creamer such as Nutpods works well. It gives a smooth texture and a mild flavor that complements the peaches.
How to Serve
Serve chilled in individual bowls or glasses, or place in a large bowl for guests to help themselves. Optional garnishes include dairy-free whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a handful of granola for crunch. For the best texture and flavor, let the dessert rest in the refrigerator before serving so the peaches can soak up the cream.
Storing
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 days. Freezing is not recommended because the cream can become icy and the peaches may become mushy.
