Today I’m sharing a look back at the most popular gluten-free recipes I posted in 2019.

This year I focused less on posting new recipes and more on improving the recipes already on the site. I updated photos, added clearer tips, tested new flour blends and dairy-free substitutions where appropriate, and refined instructions so readers can reproduce results more reliably.
I also made behind-the-scenes improvements to how the site displays recipes and how printable recipe cards work. My plan is to finish converting all recipes to the new printable format and make site speed improvements by next month, after which I’ll concentrate on sharing the new recipes I’ve been developing in my kitchen.

Two additional favorites that didn’t make the top ten but deserve a mention:
The gluten-free chocolate strawberry layer cake was one of the prettiest desserts I made all year — and it tasted as good as it looked. I made it twice in a week because guests loved it so much.

My family also can’t get enough of the gluten-free peanut butter butterscotch chocolate chip cookies. They add extra flavor to the classic peanut butter cookie with butterscotch and chocolate — a combination we reach for again and again.
