Last Wednesday through Friday I had the pleasure of joining 19 other food bloggers for the inaugural “Steam” Cooking Thermador Blog Event. Thermador hosted us at the beautiful Gainey Ranch Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, where we enjoyed comfortable accommodations and outstanding meals.
Thermador invited us to see a hands-on demonstration of their latest innovation: the Thermador Steam and Convection Oven. The Thermador team walked us through the oven’s features and demonstrated how much can be accomplished in a compact, highly efficient appliance. As someone familiar with the Thermador brand from earlier recipe contests and showroom visits, it was rewarding to see the company’s commitment to quality and the enthusiasm of their staff up close.
Below is a selection of highlights from our trip and the Thermador showroom experience. I’ve kept many of the photos to share the atmosphere and delicious food we enjoyed.

Our first night included dinner at Mastro’s. The food was excellent and the conversation flowed as we met everyone in person.

The shrimp appetizer stole the show—beautifully plated and full of flavor.

Thursday morning we gathered in the lobby, ready for the drive to the Thermador showroom.

I have a soft spot for interesting light fixtures, and the showroom had plenty to admire.

We toured the full showroom and watched the chef prepare a delicious breakfast using Thermador equipment.

Chef Kyle described the breakfast courses and explained how the steam and convection functions can be used for different techniques.

Throughout the day you could see all 20 bloggers photographing the food and demos—true foodie paparazzi!

We enjoyed an oven demonstration and watched Chef Kyle roast tenderloin using the convection settings.

Lunch followed with more impeccable presentation and flavors.

I especially enjoyed spending time with Todd and Diane from White on Rice Couple—their creativity and warmth made the event even more memorable.

Lindsey lit the torches for our crème brûlée—always a crowd-pleaser.

My roomie and fellow food blogger Brooke from Cheeky Kitchen handled the mashed potatoes like a pro—they were delicious.

I also enjoyed catching up with Shanna from My Favorite Everything—always a pleasure to connect with other local bloggers.

Lunch was exceptional—no wonder I took so many photos of the food!

The crème brûlée was served in charming star-shaped ramekins.

A standout was the tomato jam—so flavorful that Shanna later shared the recipe on her blog.

Thank you to Thermador for an incredible day in the showroom. The food was outstanding, the staff were gracious and knowledgeable, and the products were beautiful. I enjoyed every moment.

Thursday evening we dined at 5th & Wine Restaurant and left in a happy food coma—totally worth it.

After dinner we even took a gondola ride back at the hotel with Kristen, Brooke, Chris, Russell, Jennifer and a few others. It was one of the more entertaining gondola rides I’ve experienced—our gondolier had his hands full with our silliness.
